The Esterle hydroelectric power plant, located on the right bank of the Adda River, began operating in 1914. It is dedicated to the memory of Carlo Esterle, Edison's managing director until 1918. The building, particularly known for its beauty, is constructed in a style derived from the eclectic Lombard tradition. The meticulous ornaments, the geometric and floral motifs, the columns and capitals at the entrance, the wrought iron street lamps and the imposing Gothic-style windows make it appear more like a villa than a real industrial building.

To the right and left of the bridge, starting from the river path, it is possible to climb to the top with a very steep difference in altitude, on two accesses: one with a road with a stony surface which is almost impossible given the slope of up to 20%; the other is on asphalt and therefore more accessible but still with a considerable slope.

Beautiful glimpse of a 19th century engineering masterpiece, one of the first metal structures to exploit the elasticity of the ellipse. It was the object of interest of many scholars and there is also an urban legend about it which tells of the suicide of its creator, who jumped from the bridge for fear that his creation might give way. Which is obviously not true. It has certainly been the subject of many suicides over time and perhaps this is where the legend was born. It is a candidate to be a UNESCO World Heritage Site

The church of San Giuseppe in Porto d'Adda has a history that dates back to the 16th century. Rebuilt and finished in 1937, it is decorated with frescoes by Vanni Rossi which portray historical-religious events, including the announcement of the archangel Gabriel and the deeds of the emperor Constantine.

Bertini is Edison's and Italy's oldest hydroelectric power station, inaugurated in 1898 and once the most powerful in Europe. Created to electrify Milan's trams, it is located between Paderno and Cornate d'Adda, taking advantage of the Adda river. It includes turbines, control panels and a transformation station, and is remote-controlled from the Venina Centre.
