11월 13, 2025, Col du Grand Saint-Bernard
This climb is incredible: it doesn't have any difficult gradients, but it's long, incredibly long, endless. You reach a point where you almost hate it: you've been pedaling for well over an hour and the summit is still out of sight, you're running out of energy and the wind keeps whipping you in the face, you want to throw your bike away and say, "Enough! I'll stop here!"... but it's only a moment, because you're the one who chose to tackle it and you knew exactly what you were getting into; you set off again with more determination than before and attack those last few kilometers of road with all your remaining strength. And then you enter the tunnel, there you begin to realize you've made it, you exit, follow the road that bends slightly to the left, and, as if in a dream, the lake appears. You reach the top and think about how many people have traveled this road over the centuries: Salassi, Romans, monks, migrants, Napoleonic soldiers... you realize you're in a place steeped in history and stunning nature, and there you can't help but love this hill.

6월 15, 2025, Les Îles Green Area
At the gates of Gressan, next to the Dora Baltea and along the cycle path that connects Sarre to Pontey, there is the splendid green area "Les Îles". Extending over a surface area of 38,959 m2, it is dedicated to the practice of traditional games and surrounded by a 1,028-meter cycle ring, which can also be used as a fitness trail, jogging track and roller skating track. The area is equipped with a children's playground, an artificial sports climbing gym, two fountains and numerous benches. Access is free, but in some periods of the year it may be partially limited to allow training and competitions of traditional local games such as rebatta, fiolet and tzan. In particular, from March 1 to May 31 and from September 1 to October 15, a part of the area and the related section of the cycle path are reserved for these activities. In the immediate vicinity there are bars, restaurants and a private sports center with a swimming pool and padel courts, both indoor and outdoor, with catering service. The entire area is connected to the Montfleury sports center in Aosta via a cycle/pedestrian walkway that crosses the Dora Baltea and is served by two convenient parking lots.

9월 2, 2024, Torre del Lebbroso
The Torre del Lebbroso dates back to the 13th century and stands on the western corner of the old Roman city walls of Augusta Praetoria. The tower was originally built on the foundations of an earlier Roman tower. The tower was once owned by the noble De Friour family. Later it was used as part of the Hospice de charité and served as a residence for a leper named Pietro Bernardo Guasco. The tower is also famous for the book “Le lépreux de la cité d’Aoste” (translated as “The Leper of the City of Aosta”), written by Xavier de Maistre. Today the Torre del Lebbroso belongs to the Regione Autonoma Valle d’Aosta and is used as an exhibition space.

9월 2, 2024, Arco di Augusto
The Arco di Augusto was built in 25 BC in honour of Emperor Augustus after the Roman victory over the Salassi. This impressive arch marks the northern entrance to the city and is located in line with the decumanus maximus. It is made of conglomerate blocks and has a single arch with a height of 11.40 metres. The ten half-columns on the facades and sides are decorated with Corinthian capitals. The Doric frieze, with metopes and triglyphs, adds a classical touch. In the Middle Ages it was known as Saint-Voût because of an image of the Redeemer that was placed there. During the 12th century it served as a residence for a local noble family and later as a fortress for the balestrieri. In 1716 the roof was replaced with slate due to water damage. The current appearance is the result of restoration work in 1912. Under the arch is a wooden cross, a copy of the original placed in 1449 as a votive offering against flooding from the Buthier River.

9월 1, 2024, Hospice du Grand-Saint-Bernard
The austere buildings of the Hospice of Great St. Bernard are situated in a rocky pass through which an icy wind almost always blows, on the edge of a lake that is frozen for an average of 265 days a year and where winter lasts almost eight months. For nine centuries, the Canons Regular of the Order of St. Augustine, who settled here at the instigation of St. Bernard of Menthon, have maintained a tradition of helpfulness and hospitality. Travellers who wish to relax for a while in this peaceful place are welcome all year round.

8월 25, 2024, Arco di Augusto
In the era of the Roman emperors, it was often customary for such a "triumphal arch" to be dedicated to them in the event of a military victory over enemies of the empire, which was then given the name of the respective emperor.

8월 25, 2024, Aosta Cathedral
The patronage "SANTA MARIA ASSUNTA" (in German: "Assumption of Mary") of this cathedral (bishop's church) refers to one of the many memorial days or feast days in honor of the Mother of God Mary. It goes back to the feast of her bodily assumption into heaven, which the (Catholic) Church celebrates annually on August 15th. In the Christian Orthodox churches, the feast is called "Dormition of Mary". In many rural areas it used to be customary for the population to collect bundles of herbs on this special day and to bless them during the festive service; this custom is still practiced occasionally.

5월 12, 2024, Allein Village Center
Allein is a small jewel perched on the slopes of Mont Saron. Allein's origins are lost in the mists of time. It is hypothesized that its name derives from the Latin "Allius", or from the presence of the Alans, a Sarmatian tribe that settled here in the 5th century AD. Other scholars, however, trace it back to medieval Germanic contamination. The Roman era has left its mark on the territory: in 1856 several silver coins dating back to the Republican era were found, today kept in the Académie Saint-Anselme museum in Aosta. In the Middle Ages, Allein belonged to the Lordship of Gignod, then passing under the dominion of the Savoy in the 16th century.

3월 23, 2024, Castello di Fénis
Located in the Valle d'Aosta region of Italy, the Castello di Fénis is one of the most famous medieval castles in the region. It attracts visitors with its abundance of towers and battlements. Although it has an impressive defensive structure, it is located on a small hill and not in an inaccessible place. In fact, it was originally intended as a prestigious residence for the Challant family. The courtyard has a semi-circular stone staircase and wooden balconies. At the top of the stairs is a 15th century fresco of Saint George slaying the dragon. The rooms are decorated with wooden furniture from that period.

3월 23, 2024, Castello di Saint-Marcel
The current castle was built on the remains of an earlier fortified house. The feudal estate of Saint-Marcel originally depended on the nearby castle of Ussel. Both estates were owned by the powerful Challant family. The castle was originally built in the 15th century by Giacomo di Challant-Aymavilles. It had a basically square shape like a castle residence, with an added rectangular western part for additional living space. A square tower dominated the structure, while two turrets with projecting basins adorned the corners, similar to those of Ussel Castle. Inside, the halls were covered with wooden ceilings, and some still contained remains of large chimneys.
