An infinite and destructive staircase....

Amalfi holds centuries of history in its folds of stone and sea. Born in Roman times, passed through the hands of the Byzantines and Lombards, in the Middle Ages it became one of the powerful Maritime Republics, an undisputed protagonist of trade in the Mediterranean between the 9th and 11th centuries. Today, its splendor is told by the narrow streets that climb between colorful houses, the ruined towers and the remains of ancient fortifications: living traces of a past that still whispers between the walls.

From the beautiful center of Positano, a very long staircase climbs along the reliefs of the Amalfi coast towards Montepertuso. Immersed in nature, this last hamlet takes its name from the mountain that towers over the village itself, and is part of the Monti Lattari.

From the steps leading to Montepertuso, the view of Positano is enchanting: a mosaic of colorful houses overlooking the sea, nestled between the coast and the Mediterranean vegetation. From this elevated perspective, the village reveals itself in all its charm, with its sloping terraces and beaches that open onto crystalline waters. The panorama is made even more suggestive by the Lattari mountains that embrace the bay, creating a spectacular contrast between the green of the mountains and the intense blue of the sea.
