The route reflects the fusion of two cultures, offering a Central European atmosphere. In 2022, the Valchiavenna Cycle Path won 3rd prize at the Italian Green Road Awards.

High mountain lake in the municipality of Mesocco, not far from the town of San Bernardino and immersed in a wooded area at 1652. And. There is a large sunbathing area and a wooden walkway leading into the water.

Beautiful cycle path, almost entirely flat apart from a few short climbs between Chiavenna and the CH border (for those traveling north). Good places to eat near the lakes and from Chiavenna to Switzerland. Worth noting is the lack of shade (especially in summer) in the central part of the route.

The Cama lake is located at 1265 m. The lake remains frozen from around mid-November to the end of April, and is enclosed in a closed rocky basin downstream made up of the Piz d'Ugin and Piz de Cressim.
