You simply have to go here if you are in the area. What a great organic farm. We stayed one night in the camper parking lot with our motorhome. However, you have to reserve it in advance. You should also reserve your snack or dinner in advance. You can shop at any time in the farm shop and wine cellar and try some of the products. There are free tours of the Fattoria twice a day. Today's village of Rocca Ricciarda stands on a spur of rock near the sources of the Ciuffenna stream. The position makes it a natural fortress on which stood the old fortress that gives it its name. ... The name of Rocca Ricciarda derives from that of Guicciardo da Loro who is probable to be the founder and first owner. ...
