A good starting point for hikes on Monte Arista. Easily accessible from the lakeside road via a paved path. Parking is available.

A very beautiful trail (T2 in places) along the coast, at an elevation of about 80 m. A real alternative to the coastal road.

Mount Arista is a granite peak that towers over southern Ogliastra, located in the small town of Cardedu, right above its beautiful beaches. With a height of 447 meters, it is easily recognizable thanks to its unique shape, with a rounded tip called "Su Cappeddu", which is visible from afar. The path to the top is short but intense, with a difference in altitude of 450 meters over 2.5 kilometers of walking. Once you reach the top, the view is spectacular and extends across the entire coast, up to Baunei and the coastal Supramonte.

From this panoramic point above Cardedu and not far from the mouth of the Palau river in the sea that bathes the east coast of Sardinia, you have a great view of the very long and splendid beach. From Cardedu the coast remains sandy almost up to Bari Sardo.

Just go bravely to Kmoot! Telecom's network was reliable - even when it was narrow, overgrown and questionable as a route.

This is a great place to take a break or a picnic, whether you're just crossing or hiking to the top of Mount Arista. It is very well maintained and equipped. There are also some nice shady spots. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful hike through enchanted forest to the Domus de Janas. These are pre-Nuragic burial caves of the Ozieri culture (ca. 4000-3200 BC).
