Enchanting artificial lake at the foot of Rocciamelone

Shelter by a pretty lake and giant bench.

In Pian dell'Alpe, not far from Colle delle Finestre and in the heart of the Orsiera Rocciavrè Natural Park, this refuge is open all year round and three rooms are also available for accommodation. Unfortunately, the upper lake is full of rotting plants. Swimming is not recommended unless you are a frog. Unfortunately, the smell is not that great either. So I quickly left. The lake near the parking lot looks a little better. The restaurant is a nice place to stay.

Dam lake very well known and frequented by many people in the summer period, but parking for motor vehicles is subject to a fee (rate July and August 2024: €5 on weekdays and €7 on weekends)
