Hidden among the slopes of Mottarone, at 1,204 meters, the Rifugio Alpe Nuovo offers a welcoming space with 12 beds. The structure, the result of the passion of members and volunteers, is also equipped with a kitchen and dining room. The bar service is limited, but you can consume your own food.

Magnificent view, therefore only enjoyable in good weather. I also took off from here with a paraglider. A couple of times I continued up to Mt. Massone, adding another 460m of altitude difference, and at 2161m the view is even wider. The climb is always exposed to the sun, better to avoid July and early August.

Super beautiful and idyllic place for a rest. The place is something special and you have a great view in different directions. There is catering at the hut.

Great view of the lake and the surrounding mountains.

Great view of the Zughero, which you can also climb. The path leads over the Alpe Nuovo. There is also a summit cross there.

Very nice, idyllic spot on the way to Alpe Nuovo, which can be seen from here. Great drinking spot for the dog.
