A beautiful place. One of those "of the heart" for me. The viewpoint of Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II on the Val Tiglione and the surrounding towns clearly visible on clear days. There is a charging station for e-bikes and wooden tables with benches on site, perfect for taking a break. Magnificent!

Via Garibaldi, in its stretch of asphalt, at a certain point, hosts a small votive chapel probably erected to protect travelers and have good luck in the harvest. Street with almost zero traffic.

The castle, configured in a single and imposing square volume, reveals evident architectural stylistic differences, originating from the layout choices undertaken in the 17th century by the legitimate owners. Starting from 1625, the Asinari nobles shared the rank of "counts of Costigliole" with the noble Verasis family. This complex was therefore divided between two feudal lords, who, with autonomous determination, gave rise to transformations and embellishments on subjective bases. The northern part of the manor, pertaining to the Asinari, retains the appearance derived from the interventions of the second half of the eighteenth century, duly inspired by the architectural canons propagated by Benedetto Alfieri. At the same time, the external aspect of the southern part, pertaining to the Verasis, constitutes an interesting example of neo-medieval stylistic re-proposition, dating back to the first decades of the 19th century.

Canelli is a town in the province of Asti. The locality is famous for its wine production, in particular for the renowned sweet sparkling wine called Moscato d'Asti. A further distinctive feature consists of the underground cellars, created by carving the tuff rock, which serve for the purpose of preserving and aging the precious nectar. The historical and cultural heritage of Canelli is of considerable importance, with numerous churches, castles and museums that masterfully illustrate the legacy of this territory.

Castagnole delle Lanze, a place between the Langhe and Monferrato hills, in the province of Asti and not far from Alba, takes its name from "castinea", which means "small chestnut" in Latin, and from the Lancia family, who owned the territories between 1190 and 1206. This small community is divided into two parts: the historic center, located in the hilltop village of San Pietro, and the new village or low country.
