A wonderful place to rest and relax in the middle of the forest

Here your four-legged friend can explore the shore and splash around in the water in peace and quiet.

A Bronze Age burial chamber was created here. The grave discovered 500 meters to the west has been relocated to this site, and an information panel provides information about it. Finds can be seen in the grave. Unfortunately, the glass cover is very dirty due to deposits (2025).

Very "special" shelter on this hike

Until well into the 19th century, Schwaiger Castle was the centre of the small village in the Pegnitz Valley. In September 1992, after renovation, it was given a new purpose as a meeting place and a venue for cultural purposes.

There is also a rest area with a table and 2 benches
