Fun trail but be careful when riding...not for beginners

A village on the hill. Very nice center

Castelfalfi is a charming medieval village located in Tuscany, in the municipality of Montaione, province of Florence. Nestled in the Tuscan hills, it offers a breathtaking view of vineyards, olive groves and woods. The village has been restored and transformed into a luxury tourist destination, with a resort, a golf course and high-quality accommodation facilities. The history of Castelfalfi dates back to the Middle Ages, and today it represents a perfect combination of history, nature and modern comfort.

The landscape of Valdera (Val d'Era) is characterized by rolling hills interspersed with small watercourses, the result of intensive agricultural activities that have continued uninterruptedly since ancient times. The area retains much of its agricultural origins, with carefully cultivated fields, orchards in the plains and hills covered with olive groves, vineyards and farms.

Unfortunately, we came across a prohibition sign halfway through, so we chose a different route, but unfortunately it did not reach Pozzo sfondato. Then we finally walked back and via the village on the other side we finally got there. Which was definitely worth it.
