Clean and easy path to follow even with children. By parking your car near the Contrada della Croce farm you can enjoy this beautiful path that leads directly to the steps under the Abbey of San Michele. Slightly more challenging uphill, but nothing complicated.

First panoramic point on the large lake a few steps from the small lake. Spectacular view, furthermore only at this point is it possible to admire up close the bald cypress plants whose trunk has a wide base and develops a dense network of roots that re-emerge from the ground, called "respiratory roots", and anchor it to the ground allowing its survival even in winter when due to flooding the ground becomes muddy and marshy.

A small fountain located in the municipality of Rionero but known as "the Barile fountain". It is located between the 2 municipalities and was restored a few years ago thanks to the good will of local artists and poets (from Rionero and Barile). The water is drinkable and delicious, it's a must to fill your water bottle 😉

A beautiful fountain on a roadside lay-by going towards Monticchio. It is located under the aqueduct tank, but unfortunately it is often not functional.

Truly a unique place with a breathtaking show. Easy to access, avoid crowded periods such as long weekends or mid-August, better any Sunday to enjoy the relaxation of nature.
