The houses and the banks of the Main River in Marktzeuln are beautiful. The traffic light system, however, is completely useless for cyclists. That's why I usually cycle slowly and leisurely along the sidewalk, ignoring the phases. It only gets narrow at the upper gate. Here, you might want to use the traffic lights as a guide.

The Gehülzer Leuchtkreuz stands at the highest point of the old B 303 between Kronach and Mitwitz. It's a pass near quaeldich.de and has five different access roads from the Kronach side. The traffic congestion at the Gehülzer Leuchtkreuz has thankfully decreased significantly compared to earlier times. The B 303, which used to pass here, has been relocated further south and now runs via Beikheim. Above all, there are no more trucks. Nevertheless, you should think twice about driving up the road from Mitwitz on a Monday morning. Because they're still there: the incorrigible speedsters and morning rushers who thunder up here at senselessly high speeds. From Mitwitz you can take a beautiful side route to Burgstall.
