The sad events of the Great War. A very painful chapter has been written here

In Fritz Weber's book, The Stages of Defeat, the preparatory work and the explosion of the Austro-Hungarian mine, with the sad consequences, are described very well.

This waterfall suddenly emerges from the woods and passes under the asphalt of the cycle/pedestrian path: it is truly impressive and violent after heavy rains (in dry periods I believe it is limited to a trickle)! It is one of the many watercourses that descend from the Asiago Plateau above to flow into the Astico.

Under the Astico cycle and pedestrian path, with its ambushed entrance, there is a dark and sloping Italian tunnel from the First World War that emerges a little further on, practically passing under the Torrione di Pedescala. The entire area is dotted with military works from the Great War, as it was a crucial border area between the Kingdom of Italy and the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

Grandiose work of the engineers of the Great War. It is a daring helical gallery inside a large spire with the aim of rising in altitude. Requires a torch.

It is the mountain that dominates Arsiero, which separates the Astico valley from the Pòsina valley. It is a place full of emotions and memories as it is a highly contested mountain during the Great War.

Starting from the small church of S. Rocco di Arsiero, along beautiful paths you arrive at Mount Cimone. Excellent panorama and theater of great battles.

Along the Mount Cimone itinerary there are various points of war interest, but no refreshment points.
