The sculpture (by the artist Claus Lindner) was erected in 2012 and carries a telephone, referencing the former embassy of the "City of Roland Cities." The sculpture is located near St. Nicholas Church.

The Old St. Nicholas Church in Prenzlau is not a perfectly preserved postcard church, but a living monument. It invites visitors not only to observe history, but to experience it in its raw, unembellished form. A visit is absolutely worthwhile to experience the unique atmosphere of this place, where the stones tell stories and art has found a new home.

It was erected in 1495 on the Obermarkt. On January 21, 1737, a storm toppled Roland from its pedestal, and original parts of this Roland are now housed in the Dominican monastery. In 2000, a new Roland was unveiled in front of the Volksbank Uckermark, a 4.7-meter-tall sandstone figure by the sculptor Toralf Jaekel.

In 1945, the building burned down as a result of the war. The choir and nave were rebuilt starting in the 1950s.

The neo-Gothic hall church was built of brick in 1892. The church, which burned down during World War II, was restored in 1952.

The city wall of Prenzlau was renovated in the breakthrough – craftsman’s house section, with four soft houses and wall sections being restored.

The city fortifications of are a historic defensive structure, beginning in the 13th century and further expanded in the 14th century. They surrounded the city with a stone wall that was originally about 2.6 km long and up to 9 meters high. Today, approximately 1,416 meters of the wall remain.
