Karer Pass Mountain pass in the Dolomites The Karer Pass (Italian: Passo di Costalunga; Fassa-Ladin: Jouf de Ciareja) is the pass between the Rosengarten and Latemar mountains in the Italian Dolomites. It connects the Eggental Valley with the Fassa Valley (Italian: Val di Fassa), and thus South Tyrol with Trentino. It lies at an altitude of 1,752 m above sea level. Lake Carezza (Italian: Lago di Carezza) lies just below the pass in the Eggental Valley.
