The Val Regana fork is one of the two lateral forks compared to Cima d'Asta. It is located at an altitude of 2,043 meters above sea level; on its right you can see the summit of Col della Crose and on the left the Cima d'Asta massif.

Just below the Cinque Croci pass, the Malga Conseria refuge is a crossroads for many excursions as well as a perfect shelter in which to taste delicious typical Trentino products. Among them, dumplings, polenta and goulash should be mentioned. It is open in both summer and winter and you can also stay overnight by booking in advance.

Managed by the same family for numerous generations, the Crucolo refuge stands at around 1,100 meters above sea level at the foot of Lagorai. Particularly worth trying here is Parampampoli, a liqueur that Giordano Purin invented in the 1950s by mixing together coffee, wine, grappa and sugar. However, you can also buy and taste cured meats and cheeses.

The Carlettini refuge represents a splendid crossroads for a long series of more or less demanding walks that wind through the landscape and the peaks of the Campelle valley. Located in the Lagorai group, the refuge is located at 1,374 meters above sea level.

The Consèria refuge is located on the extensive mountain pasture that extends just downstream from the Cinque Croci pass. In the background the panorama is magnificent and offers a beautiful view of the slender peak of Mount Cengello.

From the Cinque Croci pass the view is truly satisfying: the panorama extends 360 degrees from the Lagorai chain to the suggestive Cima D'Asta, to the green pastures of the Campelle valley. The pass has this name because the territories of five pastures converge there: Valcion, Socede, Valsorda, Cengello and Consèria.

Reaching the Cinque Croci Pass is always exciting, because you can enjoy a magnificent landscape: from the Lagorai chain to the particular Cima d'Asta, to range among meadows full of flowers. From here I also recommend reaching the Lasteati lakes, pearls set among the rocks. It can be easily reached both from the Conseria bridge, at the Carlettini refuge, and from the Refavaie refuge, a longer but no less interesting road.

The Forcella di Val Regana is a magical and solitary place in front of the Cima d'Asta. Going up from the Val Malene campsite, take a road that is smooth in the first part and then gradually more bumpy, but still pedalable, until you reach the last stretch where you necessarily have to push. The descent towards the other side presents the first stretch quite technical with hairpin bends and small jumps, then it becomes smoother always on wild terrain (very tall grass that hides the track, traveled little even by hikers) until you reach the forest road almost at the bottom of the valley . From here you can go up to Passo Cinque croci then reach Forcella Magna (a stretch that is not easily pedaled) and descend from the latter to the campsite. Nice challenging ride in wild places.

This traverse from Passo Cinque Croci to Forcella Magna is not very feasible on MTB, but the places are fantastic with emerald colored alpine lakes. The crossing also deserves to be done to reach Forcella Magna, where an exciting trail begins with technical passages but still suitable for cycling and then with increasingly smooth and exciting terrain.

The Cinque Croci Pass is a beautiful, popular place, given the easy access with the MTB. Starting point for adventurous crossings. The path to Forcella Magna (almost not cycleable) and its stupendous lake are beautiful. The MTB descent from the fork is long, very enjoyable and not too difficult: recommended. Also interesting is the descent into Val Regana, (very tall grass with technical passages) always towards Caoria, overall long and tiring.
