An interesting gateway along the ancient Castroreale-Mandanici cattle track where it overlaps with the Peloritani mountain range. The annual pilgrimages to the Sanctuary of Tindari, which are made in a variety of ways (on foot, by bike, on horseback), all pass through this gateway. Over the years, devout believers have erected votive icons, each representing their Ionian hometown, making the whole experience unique and a delight to see.

A church where you can admire Byzantine, Arab, Sicilian, and Norman architecture. The exterior features exposed brick. The interior columns are made of granite similar to that of the ancient theater in Taormina. They are likely excavated columns from the Byzantine era. The column abacus is made of lava stone.

From here you have a privileged view of Isola Bella, a rocky islet at the foot of Taormina connected to the mainland by a thin strip of sand. A ticket is required to visit.
