Refuge that can be reached after a fairly steep climb of 2 hours at an average pace, really tasty food and the guys who run it are really very good and helpful. Recommended for a nice lunch after the climb!

The rest area has some benches and tables in the shade of the chestnut trees. A fountain provides fresh, cool water. Especially for mountain bikers on the way to the Tracciolino, it is almost inevitable to cool down here and replenish the water reserves. On the way into the valley you can follow the old Mulattiera down into the valley as a technically safe mountain biker. The path is very technical - with many steps and blocked and steep sections - and becomes more difficult the further you get into the valley. The first sections quickly meet the gravel road again. You can whet your appetite there - if it's not your taste, the road remains as a casual descent to Lake Mezzola.

It is a point with a panoramic view of the Pian di Spagna reserve. It is a rocky spur overlooking the lake of Novate mezzola. There is a small votive chapel chapel erected in the '80s.
