This is a useful stopping point after the climb. I recommend that you stock up on water at the fountain located a few meters from the refuge. The name of this inhabited center, Codera, derives from the homonymous stream that flows in the narrow valley and flows into Lake Mezzola.
It is a small village (fraction of Novate Mezzola) that can only be reached on foot or by helicopter. There are no roads that connect the community to the bottom of the valley, but this makes the place truly unique.
