BRIDGE CLOSED: on May 4, 2025 I found the entire bridge section closed, I think it had been like that for a long time. I tried to cross anyway but in fact there are large fallen logs to climb over on the path, but above all the last section of the bridge collapsed to the bottom due to a huge post. Padernello Castle is located in the village of the same name in the Borgo San Giacomo area in the province of Brescia. The castle dates back to the 15th century and is surrounded by a moat which makes it fascinating. Access to the structure (130 rooms on a surface area of 4000 m²) is via a still functioning drawbridge. The castle today hosts exhibitions and events.
