A very traditional café with delicious pastries – ice cream is also available on weekends and in summer. 😋 Highly recommended for a little break. 👍🏻

The town is undergoing a lot of modernization. There's a large Edeka supermarket nearby, but otherwise, there are few shopping options. The market is mostly just a parking lot, so the quality of the place is rather poor.

A very pleasant bike path that's also wide enough. The views of the countryside are beautiful.

The school building, dating from 1575, is the second oldest school building in Thuringia. The ground floor is constructed of sandstone with two round-arched portals. A half-timbered upper story was built above it. The stone "school man" on the eastern corner of the "Old School" is interpreted in folklore as a treasure finder and founder of the school building.

Construction of the hall church, initially dedicated to Saint Nicholas, began at the instigation of Würzburg Cathedral Provost Kilian von Bibra with the construction of the three-aisled nave in 1488. The choir, the width of the nave, was built in 1505. The square tower was completed around 1530. Justus Jonas the Elder, a friend of Martin Luther, was pastor from 1553 to 1555. During the tour of the church, visitors can climb the church tower to the viewing gallery, which offers a good view of Eisfeld and the surrounding hills.
