Perhaps the most famous and popular of the bridges in Monza Park, it takes its name from the iron chains that connect the solid parapets. Featuring a rectangular base and a length of 15 meters, it spans two spans on segmental arches with masonry abutments on two inclined planes converging in the middle. In the center, a brick oculus-shaped infill decoration is visible. The "Chain Bridge," located along the Viale Valle dei Sospiri, was built in neoclassical and eclectic style in 1820, designed by architect Luigi Canonica.

The current building was built starting in 1840 based on a design by Giacomo Tazzini, starting from a pre-existing structure, of which the medieval brick tower from the 12th century was incorporated and remodeled. Already towards the end of the 19th century the mill ceased its production activities and was converted into a barracks for the Royal Carabinieri. In 1974 it was renovated and equipped with showers, unfortunately it soon fell into a state of abandonment.

Nice stretch of dirt road exactly in the middle between the Golg Club fences and those of the Autodromo, it's all straight, great for training to go fast on the rocks
