In reality, the equipped pass where the Sentiero Italia and the Adamello Alta Via No. 1 pass is the Avio Pass, 2,881 m. The Premassone Pass, 2,834 m, is located further southeast and was once used. Unfortunately, there's some confusion about this, even in some guidebooks and signs.

Excellent refuge, the refugee is very knowledgeable and always willing to offer advice. The food is good and the facility is well-maintained, and lastly, it's really cheap.

It is a rather steep passage, on the rocks, but despite the appearances the zigzag path is well marked. It is feasible, perhaps with the help of a little help with the hands to climb (put away the trekking poles, which would get in the way here). The descent is equally steep, so be careful and take it slowly. However, I would not recommend this step to anyone who suffers from vertigo.

The Serafino Gnutti refuge is located at an altitude of 2,166 meters in the splendid Val Miller. The refuge can be reached in about 2 hours of walking starting from the Ponte del Guat locality along the path that passes through the famous "Scale Del Milller", accessible to all without major difficulties, in an enchanting scenery of wild beauty.

The Baitone Refuge is located at an altitude of 2,281 meters in the heart of the Adamello Park. The refuge is a crossing point and logistic base for those who follow the Path n.1 of the Alta Via dell'Adamello. Thanks to the very spacious and well-equipped rooms, the refuge can accommodate large groups, offering them a simple but generous cuisine, closely linked to its territory.

The Franco Tonolini Refuge is located in the magnificent Conca del Baitone, in the Adamello Park, near Lake Rotondo. Surrounded by eight stupendous alpine lakes, it is in an ideal position for excellent excursions and ascents, such as the beautiful Cima Plem or the Corno del Baitone.
