San Daniele del Friuli, or simply San Daniele, is a small town with 7,922 inhabitants in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, situated at an altitude of 252 meters above sea level. It features historical buildings dating from the 16th to 18th centuries. The town was largely destroyed by an earthquake in 1976. Significant damage is also recorded from the earthquake of 1348.

The "Bluenergy Stadium" is the home stadium of the football club Udinese and a venue for large concerts with 30,000 seats.

This is the Cathedral of Santo Stefano, a hamlet in the scattered municipality of Buja. Dating back to the 13th century, it was demolished and rebuilt in the Neo-Gothic style and houses valuable works of art.

The ancient church, first mentioned in a document from 1190, but with works of art dating from the period of the spread of Christianity in the late 4th century and the early Middle Ages, was restored at the end of the 13th century under the direction of the architect and sculptor John and completed by Giovanni Griglio in the third or fourth decade of the 14th century. The temple was re-consecrated on Pentecost 1337.

The Cathedral of Gemona, like most of the buildings here, was destroyed in the epicenter of the 1976 earthquakes (May 6th with magnitude X MM scale, September 11th VII-VIII MCS scale, September 15th X MCS scale).

Piazza XX Settembre 1870 in Udine – originally called "Piazza dei grani" – grain market, the square was formerly used for grain handling; framed by numerous imposing buildings: Palazzo INA, Palazzo Antivari Kechler with its neoclassical façade, and the Gothic Casa Veneziana, which was moved from Via Cavour to its present location in 1929.
