Ciclovia del Tagliamento - 137km, 251hm

This place is definitely worth a visit for its perfect balance of epic history and breathtaking views. Here's why it's a must-see on your itinerary: Unparalleled View: From the summit, the view extends 360° over the Tagliamento Valley and Lake Cavazzo. It's one of the most spectacular vantage points in the Carnic Prealps. Historical Testimony: Exploring the remains of the outpost and armored battery from the Great War is a moving experience. The echoes of the strenuous defense of 1917 can still be felt. Iconic Climb: The old military road that climbs to the fort is a masterpiece of engineering, with constant gradients and hairpin bends that make the journey (on foot or by mountain bike) rewarding and never monotonous. Tip: Bring a flashlight to better explore the interior and enjoy the silence that reigns today where the cannons once roared.

Very nice route, we took this route as an alternative to the FVG8.

On the saddle between the Festa and the San Simeone some buildings used as an outpost.
