The new parish church was built in 1909 according to plans by Don Angelo Noacco, parish priest of Cassacco, architect and author of numerous church projects in Friuli (including the Cathedral of Santo Stefano di Buja), and consecrated in 1938. Built in the Neo-Gothic style on an imposing base, the main façade of which is divided into two flights of stairs leading from the square to the churchyard, it features a striking façade with tower-shaped tabernacles, a porch, and a central rose window. Inside, three naves are divided by archivolt columns of red Verona marble. Thanner's frescoes, removed from the rear wall of the old parish church, were relocated to an arch in the left nave and appropriately restored.

Susans Castle is an elegant seventeenth-century residence built on the ruins of previous medieval buildings and older settlements dating back to Roman times. It has the appearance of a Medici Villa and belonged to the Colloredo family until the end of the First World War. The building is surrounded by a large and well-kept Italian garden accessible to guests and visitors, fenced and equipped with internal parking. Located at the top of the Colle di Susans, the castle has a splendid view that ranges from the plain and the surrounding hills to the mountains and the valley of the Tagliamento river. www.castellodisusans.com

Sella Chianzutan is a pass in the Carnic Prealps at around 950 meters above sea level. It can be reached from both San Francesco and Tolmezzo: the latter is the toughest side, although the gradients rarely exceed 10%. Between 2010 and 2020, it was tackled three times by the Giro d'Italia: the first to pass through here were Ludovic Turpin, Sebastian Henao and Giovanni Visconti.
