Abruzzo Museum with Mammoth

A magical place in the middle of the plateau. Accessible by road from Terranera and by the trails that cut through the valley, easily accessible even on gravel bikes.

A beautiful bike path connecting Terranera to Fontevignone. The gravel surface is excellent, so be careful on the descents, but the road is wide and quiet. The view at the top is beautiful, with a small rest area (no fountains).

The Basilica of Collemaggio is a symbolic monument of the city of L'Aquila. A Romanesque church commissioned by Pietro da Morrone, who later became Pope Celestine V.

Interesting fountain (Fontana Luminosa) with beautiful sculptures at Piazza Battaglione Alpini.

Fascinating church with a magnificent organ, impressive ceiling, interesting dome, wide staircase...

Romanesque church built on the ruins of an ancient monastery. Particularly interesting are the rose window located on the entrance, the bell tower and the apse visible externally from the back of the church. Inside the crypt preserves the relics of San Franco.

Racing bike ride, passing by Capannelle, going up to San Franco and down to San Pietro della Jenca, finally you find yourself on the road of Madonna d'Appari. We continue towards Tempera and go up to return to L'Aquila
