Levico Terme is the only town on the lake and a spa town in the Valsugana, a valley of the Brenta river in Trento. The place that used to belong to Austria-Hungary is a popular holiday destination in South Tyrol

Always along the Brenta. It rises southeast of Trento. The outflows of the lakes Caldonazzo and Levico form the Brenta, it flows through the Suganer Valley first in an easterly direction and then from Primolano in a south direction. From here the valley narrows to the so-called Canale di Brenta. At Bassano del Grappa the Brenta leaves the Southern Limestone Alps and continues its course through the Venetian lowlands of the Po Valley.
