A fantastic pass road! From Bolognano, the road winds its way up to Passo di Santa Barbara with a relatively constant gradient and numerous curves. The asphalt is in good condition, and there's almost no traffic (I was only overtaken by one car that morning). Once at the top, you can either drive back down the other side of the pass to Loppio or, after a 2km descent in Ronzo, turn left toward Passo Bordala.

The cycle path climbs steadily from the Adige Valley. The route alternates between shady passages through vineyards and forests and open sections offering spectacular views of the valley. With its steep climbs, the path combines scenic diversity, athletic challenge, and impressive panoramas, making the transition from the Adige Valley to the Lake Garda region a special experience for cyclists.

Fighting again in front of Lake Garda

A wonderful pass road with little traffic! The road winds steadily uphill, bend after bend. There are frequent stretches of the road in the shade, so you can drive up even at midday in June.

The flattest crossing from the Etsch Valley to Lake Garda, the lake landscape below the pass is impressive, where a former lake temporarily fills with water and makes bushes and trees appear like in a swamp landscape
