The lock in Detzem is a wonderful vantage point. The local lock bridges a height difference of an incredible 9 meters. This is the greatest drop of all the locks on the Moselle! The lock can easily be reached on foot or by bike from the town. It is impressive to watch how a large ship overcomes this height in the lock chamber in such a short time.

The old train station on the Moselle Valley Railway is the only building in Trittenheim that stands to the right of the Moselle. It was opened in 1905 and stood empty for many years after it was closed in 1973. In the meantime, it has been privatized and, after being renovated in accordance with the requirements of a listed building, presents itself as a »Buquet – Vinothek in the Weinbahnhof«.
