The Abbey of San Salvatore in Summano is an ancient religious building located in Montalto, a hamlet of Sarsina, in the province of Forlì-Cesena. Its origins probably date back to before the year 1000, and it is documented at least since 1041, when it was directed by the abbot Graziano. The name "Summano" could derive from a previous pagan temple dedicated to the god Pluto or the god Jupiter "Summo Mane".

The Castelluccio refuge is located in a privileged position on the road that leads from Sarsina to Quarto. It is on the path of San Vicinio and offers the traveler shelter and the possibility of shelter. Inside you can warm up with the wood-burning fireplace, which is always present thanks to the good people who provide it. For now I have always found it clean and tidy.
