Beautiful view of the lake

Artificial lake formed by the damming of the river Vomano. Almost a kilometer long and an average of 30 meters wide. Its maximum depth is about 25 meters. The lake is populated by different species of fish.

Campotosto lake is an artificial site built in the 1930s. The road that runs alongside it has no demanding climbs and is very scenic.

As you get closer to Campotosto, the artificial lake of the same name appears. A beautiful glance.

Lago di Campotosto is an artificial lake in Abruzzo in the 1930s. It lies in the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park and, with an area of 14 km², is one of the largest reservoirs in Europe. A relatively easy to drive, but somewhat hilly and very varied road leads around it. Every bend in the street opens up new views of the wonderful nature of Abruzzo.
