This small town is actually the most populous hamlet of Borgorose. The old village still maintains its medieval matrix intact, with the castle and the circular tower clearly visible. From here several paths start within the Duchess Mountains. In the small town there is also an archeology museum dedicated to the ancient Equi people.

The Vali di Monte Salviano is located at 902 m above sea level within the homonymous nature reserve. In 2000 the work entitled "Teatro della Germinazione" was installed, a sculpture by the artist Pietro Cascella.

The Fucino plain is located between 650 and 680 m a.s.l. and is surrounded by mountains. The morphology of the surrounding area confirms that where today there is the basin with cultivated fields, there used to be a large basin of water (it was the third largest lake in Italy).

Telespazio's "Piero Fanti" Space Center stands on the Fucino plain. The Center has been active since 1963 and today has 170 antennas and covers an area of 370,000 m2. It is recognized as the first and most important "teleport" in the world for civilian use. In addition, part of Elettra, the laboratory ship on which Guglielmo Marconi carried out many of his radiophonic experiments, is conserved and visible in the Centre. The Morronis are ancient remains of Roman civilization. In fact, where San Benedetto dei Marsi stands today, there was a city called Marruvium, which was the capital of the Marsi people and then became a thriving Roman municipality. Since no inscriptions have been found, it is thought that the Morronis are tombs or monuments in honor of important figures in society.

Tagliacozzo is a city in Abruzzo which rises not far from the border with Lazio in the western part of Marsica, in the Piani Palentini area. From the streets of the city you can admire the nature of Marsica. Worth a pass.
