The Marruvium Amphitheater represents one of the most significant archaeological testimonies of Roman power in the Marsi territory. Built around the 2nd century AD, the structure still retains parts of its imposing opus reticulatum walls and the elliptical shape of the original arena. Although it was partially stripped of its materials for other constructions in the past, it remains a fundamental symbol of the ancient Marruvian capital, once capable of hosting thousands of spectators for gladiatorial games.

The Terraegna Refuge is open during the summer, while in spring and autumn it is best to call to check the openings. It was born from the complete recovery of a mountain pen located in a saddle between Pescasseroli and Bisegna. The Terraegna plateau is home to the great fauna of the Park including bears, wolves and golden eagles.

The Bosco della Difesa or Bosco dei Giganti is part of the Ancient Forests, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2017. Inside these beech forests of the park there seem to be trees over 560 years old: the oldest in Europe.

Pescasseroli is a picturesque town located in the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise, in the Abruzzo region. It is an ideal starting point for cycling and hiking. Pescasseroli is also famous for its wildlife and the possibility of spotting animals such as wolves and chamois.
