The waterfall was made about 70 years ago by my grandfather, his name is Ben Navarro, who also lived nearby. His sons Ben and Evert also helped with it, and his daughter Janny, who is my mother.

The heathlands of the Herikhuizerveld are beautiful. It's a unique place for its rolling landscape. But it can also be extremely busy here during the heath season.

A preserved ice cellar.

It's always fun and interesting to come across something like that in the forest.

The gatehouse served as an imposing entrance to the country estate and housed, among other things, the gardener's house, a garage with generators (for electricity, modern for that time), and other service buildings.

Nice varied landscape. The sanddrift is much smaller than around Kootwijk, but here you get more different landscapes on a shorter walk.

Very nice piece. Also great for the dogs to paddle in.
