“Selva di Paliano e Mola di Piscoli” 자연 기념물 중심부의 참나무 숲, 초원, 수로 사이에 중세 시대의 매혹적인 유적인 Mola di Piscoli의 흔적이 남아 있습니다. 계곡을 가로지르는 비포장도로에는 거대한 석조 아치와 요새화된 농가 탑이 나타나는데, 이는 물의 힘을 이용하여 방앗간을 돌리고 동시에 Sacco 계곡 바닥을 따라 이어지는 통행로를 통제했던 농촌 정착지의 흔적입니다. 오늘날 보호 구역에 포함된 이 요새화된 농가는 농민의 노동과 자원 및 통신 경로를 방어할 필요성에 의해 형성된 시골의 역사를 이야기합니다. 아치는 출입구 역할을 하고, 탑은 감시 초소이자 Prenestini와 Ernici 사이의 언덕을 조망하는 관측소 역할을 합니다. 오늘날 이 유적지는 역사적인 건축물과 풍경이 Selva di Paliano의 가장 특징적인 장소 중 하나로 융합되는 자연 트레일, MTB 투어, 자연 속 "디톡스" 산책의 배경이 됩니다.

Starting from Lariano it is a long walk. The only advice is to do it in company because you will meet flocks of sheep, sometimes, without shepherds.

Between the towns of Colle Rampo and Polledrara, about 6 km from Paliano, there is this fortified farmhouse with a 13th-century square tower. The Sacco river valley has been the obligatory passage point between Lazio and Campania since the Roman period. The isolated towers, built inland at strategic points, formed a system of garrison and optical signaling between them. The de' Piscoli tower was the lookout outpost of the Prenestina and Latina roads. In the Middle Ages it was the obligatory passage to enter the Palianese territory, given that the road that led to Paliano passed over the Ponte della Mola, where there was a sentry who made people pay the crossing fee, called pontatico. Beautiful lake surrounded by nature with beautiful cycling paths. Ideal to be used as a school camp and as a nature trail.

"It is an oasis that includes the waters of a small lake and the surrounding areas, between the provinces of Rome and Latina. The natural monument was established with Presidential Decree 21 June 2007, no. 425 (B.U.R. of 30 July 2007, no. 21). Located halfway between the volcanic heights of the Alban Hills and the limestone ones of the Lepini Mountains, at an altitude of 265 meters above sea level, for its naturalistic values, Lake Giulianello was identified as a natural monument by the Lazio Region in 2008. Of volcanic origin like the nearby lakes of the Alban Hills, Lake Giulianello is sub-elliptical in shape and measures about a kilometer and a half in perimeter. The depth of the seabed is just over 10 meters and its waters are fed mainly by underground springs."
