The Chapel of the Madonna di Monteserico, located on the esplanade of the ancient castle, is a small rural sanctuary linked to the local popular devotion. Once the hub of the village's religious life, it housed an image of the Virgin believed to be miraculous, and even today, Mass is celebrated there once a year in her honor.

After an initial section of scrub and scorched woods (starting from the Pedicotta farmhouse), a path finally begins inside a forest: shade, animal and insect tracks.

Masseria Pedicotta is an example of Apulian rural architecture that blends history and nature. Typically, these masserie were fortified agricultural centers, and Pedicotta retains this ancient charm.

Route suitable for everyone

Quite demanding climb, pedalable surface, not excessively technical. To be avoided in the flowering period due to weeds, thorns, and if not dry, due to the type of soil

Good starting point, parking space, fountain and equipped area (unfortunately not very well kept)
