The Chapel of the Madonna di Monteserico, located on the esplanade of the ancient castle, is a small rural sanctuary linked to the local popular devotion. Around the humble sanctuary, on the single rough stone altar, there was a painting of the Annunciation, a canvas by an unknown artist but of no small artistic value. A few decades ago, it was replaced—no one knows by whom—with a painting of the kind sold for a few lire by street vendors.
