The concert series at Arlesheim Cathedral, established in 1974, offers four concerts annually. The focus is on performances of sacred music with early music ensembles and organ recitals on the historic Silbermann organ from 1761, which has been beautifully restored in recent years.

The cathedral is the landmark of Arlesheim. The church and canons' houses on the cathedral square were the seat of the Basel cathedral chapter from 1679 to 1792. The church, originally early Baroque, was restored in the Rococo style.

There are great views here and an absolutely beautiful climb to drive up.

From the edge of the village of Arlesheim you have a beautiful view towards the Ermitage and Birseck Castle. It is open for visits every Wednesday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. from Easter to October 31st.
