Wissembourg, enjoying a piece of cake with coffee in one of the cafes in the historic alleys of the center ville, and following the hustle and bustle is just French flair
Löwenstein Castle (also called Lindenschmitt and Löwenburg) was first mentioned in the 13th century. The castle was destroyed in 1386 due to robber barons and was probably not rebuilt.
A very beautiful ruin with a wonderful view from both platforms.
One of the most worth seeing buildings in Wissembourg is the salt house from the 15th century with its striking roof. The Salt Road also ran through Wissembourg early on.
