The Einhardhaus is one of the most iconic half-timbered houses in the historic city center of Seligenstadt, Germany. This richly decorated building, dating from 1596, is known for its ornate façade, wooden oriel windows, and the legend that explains the town's name. The current half-timbered house dates from 1596, as evidenced by the inscriptions on the façade. It is a prime example of late German Renaissance half-timbering, characterized by lavish ornamentation and a striking corner oriel window. Although the house was built centuries after his death, it is named after Einhard (c. 770–840), the biographer of Charlemagne and founder of the monastery in Seligenstadt. The oriel window bears an inscription referencing the legend of Einhard and Emma (Charlemagne's daughter). According to legend, Charles recognized his daughter here after a long separation, after which he exclaimed: "Selig sei die Stadt genannt, da ich meine Tochter Emma wiederfand" ("Blessed be the city called where I found my daughter Emma again"), which would explain the name Seligenstadt.

It is an important nature reserve located directly next to the "Hofgut Patershausen".

From 1900 to 1904, a state-of-the-art slaughterhouse was built at a cost of two million gold marks, then still on the outskirts of Offenbach. The plans for this large complex, including slaughterhouses, a machine house, a water tower, cold storage facilities, an ice factory, administrative and residential buildings, were drawn up by the architect Röpert. The concept was far-sighted, designed to accommodate 100,000 people, although Offenbach had only 60,000 inhabitants at the time. The layout of the buildings and the division of the rooms enabled rational work processes. The Offenbach slaughterhouse was once considered the most modern in Europe. Thus, the Zurich slaughterhouse was built five years later according to the Offenbach plans. The fine, colorful brickwork of the Offenbach slaughterhouse is strongly reminiscent of the architecture of northern Germany and is functionally structured, with two-tone brickwork. Only in the entrance area is there any ornamental architectural decoration. During the operation, the delivery of slaughter cattle, coal, and other goods was carried out via a branch of the industrial railway. The tall water tower had a curved spire before the war. In 1990, the slaughterhouse was closed and extensively restored. In 1995, it was converted into a residential complex and a conference and cultural center. Since then, the Achat Hotel has also been located in the complex, offering beautiful rooms and a great location for cycling excursions.
