Because of the pint, of course ;-) Very good food, and the dinner menu is always updated in the evening, depending on what's available in the kitchen. It's also easy to get here by ferry (to Malleig).

Not a ruin, despite what is marked on the map. And the proper name on the OS map is Suardalan. It is actually possible to walk here from the bridge over the Glenmore River towards Braeside, though the path disappears from time to time

Another well preserved and remarkable Broch down glen Elg. The structure can still be walked into. This is a short walk from the other Broch.

Free to visit, this is the better of the two Brochs down Glen Elg. They are just a short walk apart, so finding a roadside spot will suit walking to either.

A small, secluded village with a great pub "The Old Forge", the most remote pub in Britain. Great food and super nice people! A trip is worth it ... there is also a very rustic bank house to stay ....
