This area is beautiful and diverse: mountains, rivers, lakes, forests, heaths, moors... - "My heart, what more could you want?" The river offers several spots where you can cool off (it's really cold! And only choose spots where you can easily exit the water!)

It's Loch an Eilein - what's not to like? There are good tracks and paths around the loch; a bit tree-rooty in places. Good for hiking and MTB. There are plenty of routes to and from the loch. Ice creams, toilets and car parking nearby.

Jack Drake Bothy was constructed in the 1930s as a shooting bothy during the ownership of the Drake family on the Inshriach estate. Now it serves as a simple bothy for walkers and cyclists in the Inshriach Forest. It has room for four people to sleep inside.
