Between Berlin-Buch and the Barnim region, the "Stones Without Borders" sculpture trail invites you on a unique journey of discovery. Along approximately 21 kilometers of trails through the former sewage farms and the Hobrechtswald forest, you'll encounter over 120 impressive sculptures created at international artist symposiums since 2001. Here, art blends with nature.

The sculpture park is based on Otto Freundlich's vision of a "Paris-Moscow Sculpture Route" for peace and humanity. Freundlich – a German pioneer of abstract art – was murdered in the Sobibor concentration camp in 1943. Since 2001, 120 sculptures have been created over a 21-kilometer stretch in the former sewage fields and in the Hobrechtswald forest in Berlin-Buch. The international sculpture line currently comprises 193 works in five countries (Germany, France, Austria, Poland, and the Czech Republic). Anyone interested in James Hobrecht and the Berlin sewage network - with the radial system - should definitely visit the Infoscheune in Hobrechtsfelde.

The sewage fields around Hobrechtsfelde have been gradually restored to their natural state. From the viewing platform, you have a beautiful view of the area. The flora and fauna have flourished again over the years. The fields are particularly popular with migratory birds, which make their way south in the fall.

At the Hobrechtsfelde estate you can experience wilderness on the outskirts of the city. Where Berlin's wastewater used to flow into the ground, cattle and wild horses now take care of the landscape of the extensive forest pastures.
