A short climb up the 25-meter-high dune provides a good, expansive view of the flat surrounding landscape. At the top, there's a bench and table for a rest at the lofty heights.

Red deer and supposedly wolves live here and are regularly seen! Husbjerg is a 25 meter high dune on the southwestern edge of Kallesmærsk Hede. 25 meters doesn't sound like much - but here, in the middle of the flat, wide landscape, it almost feels like a mountain. ;)

Watch out for holes in the road - there can be because of the tracked trucks that train in the military area. The surface can be a bit rough

The old Oksby church was demolished in 1891. It was built around 1450 here on Blåvandsvej in what is now Oksby Klitplantage. It was the last thatched church in Denmark. The old church is now marked as an outline in the protected cemetery. The church's old bell can also be found here.

Very nice path through the heath landscape, gravel path but easy to drive

Blåvand UCI Gravel World Series Sector Last few kilometres of the Blåvand UCI Gravel World Series lap. When raced in 2023, this section was a hard cross-headwind for the first 2/3, followed by a fast tailwind for the last km or so. Time your sprint well, as it's hard to pass on the finishing track thanks to soft gravel in the middle!
