Historic bright yellow building with a mill wheel on the Lauter not far from the city center. Very atmospheric overall picture. We always like to walk past there when we are in Wissembourg.

Two brilliant downhill routes. EVS-SPÉ2-Winstub branches off to the right and EVS-SPÉ3-Pokémon branches off to the left. Both routes are around 1.5km long.

The German Wine Gate in Silent-Rechenbach is accessible all year round and offers a beautiful all-round view. It is built in the style of a Roman fort. From a historical perspective, you should know that it was created in 1936 during National Socialism at the same time as the Wine Route. When looking at the Weintor from the French side, the former imperial eagle can still be seen; the obligatory swastika was subsequently knocked out. All too understandable. There are some very good winemakers in the surrounding area and it is highly recommended to try one or two wines.

Here the Lauter flows through the old city wall. The arches are still preserved. In front of the city wall - in the old suburb - there is a wash house. The Pfisterturm was also located here, which controlled access from the suburb of Bruch to the city.
