The bathing lake is also the hiking car park of the Terra.Vita "Schmittenhöhe". As @Marius already wrote, four-legged friends are also allowed to swim here. They are also welcome as guests on the campsite.

The refuge is located just before the Schmittenhöhe. It is a sturdy place to take a rest, even in wind and weather.

At the top of the cross in a guest book is the history of this "hill" as well as the hole in the ground just behind it.

Surprise at the summit cross, I would probably call it a hill cross. In the little box on the cross is the "Gipfelbuch", in which everyone can write their names. A great idea! The place on the Schmittenhöhe offers a few places to rest, especially benches. The way there is surrounded by wonderful nature. The forest is impressive and very mythical in some places.

I wonder why this should be a hiking highlight? You are standing in the middle of the forest on a small hill with a cross, but without any view. The forest is just being plowed up by vehicles!
