The best view is on the Hilskammweg, apart from the Wilhelm Raabe Tower (the climb of which may not be for everyone). Due to the strong wind, you can also see far behind you, towards Grünenplan.

This is where the Alte Köthe rest area is located, and directly opposite there is a place for forest workers with additional seating.

At 480 m, the Mere Cell is the highest elevation in the Hils and Alfelder Bergland (Ith-Hils-Bergland). It lies on the border between the districts of Holzminden and Hildesheim, a good 4 km north-east of Eschershausen. We think that the mountain "Bare Cell" is the highest point in the Hils. The long-distance hiking trail "Netherlands-Harz-Weg E11" leads past here.
