Actually, it's a very varied hiking trail: quite narrow, rooty, and occasionally rocky, a great alternative to the wide forest paths. Unfortunately, it's becoming increasingly overgrown in the northern and central sections (from the Cölleturm south). It would be a shame...

The Große Tannenhütte is a nice place to take a break.

There is no walkable path between Dehnsen and Godenau. You have to fight your way through a jungle. We didn't know that as a ridge path anymore! According to my information, the private owners of these areas have no interest in maintaining the paths as such, so they overgrown. What a pity! From Banteln to Deinsen, the idyllic forest path is easy to walk on, as is the passable Müllerweg afterwards.
